How to protect your PDF:

  1. Upload your PDF file
  2. Set a user password (required to open the PDF)
  3. Optionally set an owner password for full access
  4. Configure document permissions as needed
  5. Click "Protect PDF" to encrypt your document
  6. Download your protected PDF file

Important Security Notes:

  • Keep your passwords safe - they cannot be recovered if lost
  • Use strong passwords with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
  • 256-bit encryption provides maximum security but may not work in older PDF readers
  • Test your protected PDF before sharing to ensure it works as expected
